The Baroque period in Germany, which roughly spans the years between 1600 and 1750, remains a much-neglected area of art historical study. While presented here under the title “German Baroque,” the many artistic voices that can be found in this link also show how inevitably limited the use of any such historic label really proves to be when one takes a closer look at the individual artworks themselves.
